In the article “The Perils of Over-sharing in Social Networks”, Emm (2014) pointed out that we are immensely reliant on the Internet nowadays. With the advent of smartphones and tablets, the Internet has become a necessity of our daily lives. As we reveal too much of ourselves to the online community, we are not only compromising our own safety, but also potentially jeopardising our own credibility. It can also threaten the company we work for. Emm (2014) urged the public to be vigilant since the risks involved are not apparent, and provided advices to protect oneself from the perils of the online community.

ReplyDeleteHi Wei Ting
ReplyDeleteContent wise, we thought that it was a generally well written and accurate summary as ideas are clearly presented and accurately paraphrased. The ideas presented in the summary are also well developed and logical.
However it was unclear whether this particular idea came from the author of the original article or from you > "...also potentially jeopardising our own credibility".
Overall we thought you did a great job!
